This large handsome silver ladle was made in or about 1790 in Frankfurt -- the year of coronation and of Mozart's visit there to attend the celebrations 
 
In 1790, Leopold II (emperor of the Holy Roman Empire (1790-1792) was crowned at Frankfurt .  
 
All the princes of Germany gathered there amidst huge celebrations.  (An ox was roasted in the main square and the fountains were made to run with wine.) 
 
Mozart was present at the Frankfort festivities, and the following year wrote the opera La Clemenza di Tito in tribute to the new emperor.

Heavily constructed of solid silver, the long handlle with fin below the pointed tip; deep circular bowl with ribbed border, near-flat bottom; no monogram
