According to some sources, a personal commission by Jensen to Mohl-Hansen, in the beginning years of the atelier; others say Jensen designed it himself

Note * According to the website of Drucker Antiques -- authorities & authors of several books on Jensen -- these are marks for the year 1918; as was illustrated on-line when they were offering an identical piece, with identical marks, for $2,750.00 USD in late October 2013.
In our opinion, based on the design of the hinge and safety clasp (both apparently original), a superb post World War II revival of the early design including its marks, perhaps to mark an important milestone in the history of the iconic firm.
