ARCHAEOLOGICAL STYLE BRACELET OF VARISCITE CABOCHONS IN EIGHT OVAL STERLING SILVER LINKS

collected in Tunisia, circa mid 1900's,

Each link centers a polished oval cabochon of brown-veined turquoise blue--green color , tested variscite by refractive index and chelsea filter.

Variscite is a gem rarer than turquoise, which it resembles, but less well-known

Eight polished oval gems, average size 9.5 x 13.5 mm , rising approx 6 mm above the silver concave closed-back mount. Silver collets, flanked by applied wirework borders and rosettes.

Quality marks : "925" struck on back of 2 links
