The Wolfers family silversmiths of Brussels have been compared to Tiffany in the U.S. and Garrard in London. Like Tiffany and Georg Jensen in Copenhagen, by the early 1900's they also experimented with related design in other arts.
The three sons of patriarch Louis Wolfers (1820-92) explored retail contacts across Europe, and contracted with Goldschmidt in Köln
