SAINT-ESPRIT ("Holy Ghost Cross") stomacher pendant

The small Dove at top, flanked by two 'forget-me-not' flowers, descends on a mass of scrolling foliage, in two part highly stylized bowknot/cross jewel of sculpted openwork sheet silver, cut and engraved in baroque scroll and leafage motifs, centering a large flowerhead.
Overall size nearly 4 x 4", in two articulated parts; very old repairs and stabilizations visible verso; the two larges strass paste gems missing. Weight approximately 1.8 troy ounces.
Retains rivet and through-fastened construction characteristic of circa mid 1700's.
