At 19 he came to Baltimore. Active at Baltimore Hebrew Congregation; among foundrs and active at several more Baltimore congregations
He was also a founding member of Adas Israel Congregation in Washington.
President & hazan at congregations, held prominent positions supporting communal & fraternal organzations.
From 1904 to his death he affiliated with Shearith Israel, which remained an ultra Orthodox synagogue for a century.
