DIAMONDS (.70 carat center, .96 carat total) PLATINUM OPENWORK DOME RING, French * circa 1919

Center Diamond : Old Mine Cut Brilliant estimated .70 carat, SI-1, H
(early proportions, high crown, small table, low symmetry, depth 60%, avg diam 5.7 mm x 3.41 mm

Accent Diamonds : 14 in all total .26 carat.
(12 mostly early old mine cut variants--square tables, high & deep--avg 1.5 mm est tot .20 carat.; 2 full cut 2.1 mm, pair est .06 carat)

* Provenance : Jeanne Marie Crauser d'Houdetot (b circa 1899; married American military physician Francis Moylan Fitts [1892-1958] of Virginia). The ring likely dates from the years he first served in Paris, 1916-19
