IGNATZ LINDL (1774-1835)
Jesuit priest, charismatic reformer, promoting return to simple rites, married priesthood, ecumenicalism, common ownership. Founder of Sarat, a settlement of Bessarabian Germans, in 1822. Czar Alexander I became a supporter, after hearing Lindl preach.

Lindl's two works are bound together in this scarce first American edition, printed in German Fracture for Pennsylvania's German-speaking community.
