Arms : SHIP'S WHEEL against SIX PLUMES, on bar

Firm : "GARRARDS / PANTON STREET / LONDON"

Maker mark: Crowned cursive "RG" * for ROBERT GARRARD II

* (Reference, Grimwade #2322. This mark was entered in 1822, correcting the 1818 mark created hastily upon the death of Robert Senior, in which the "G" looks like an "E".)

Provenance: ex collection of Ambassador North Winship (1885-1968), of Georgia, USA;
