SCOTTISH LION RAMPANT antique silver chatelaine hook, 1800's.

2-1/4" top to bottom; lion figure alone, 1-3/4" x 1"

Hand cast with 3-dimensional hand engraved details and finishing, nice old patina.

(2 original rings soldered on reverse, are for suspending keys, armorial seals, or other handy implements or ornaments

Nice heavy solid silver construction., wt .49 oz

Scotland's LION RAMPANT, in use starting circa 1093, by the heirs of Malcolm III,, and by Irish Clans sharing his lineage. It is also the Royal Banner of Scotland, flown over royal residences.
