FROG ON A LEAF, Silver and Carved Stone Ring,
signed "KH / 925 ag",

American, 20th century, possibly Blue Ridge Mountains region.

The carving material is almonst certainly unakite
(named for its origin in the Unaka Mountains of North Carolina), with typical dark and green veining of the variety found in the Blue Ridge Mountains from North Carolina to Virginia.

The frog is very well-carved and with inlaid eyes;
the leaf has a hand-figured pattern of veins & texture;
the ring is crafted of heavy gage sterling silver, and with several well-executed innovative features.

Length of leaf : 1-3/4"x 1-1/4";
length of frog : 1-1/4" x 3/4" x 1/2" high;
the ring's solid flat band 3/8"wide

Finger size : 7-1/2 - 8, and is cleverly designed to allow for further adjustment;
