"Mallorca Pearls" are named for the island on which they have been made since 1890 by a special process of multiple coatings -- reflecting nature's method -- and a protective layer which makes them so durable they are marketed as more durable than any other, simulant, natual or cultured.

Mallorca-type hand-made (simulated) pearls, 17 : diameters 6.5/7mm to 3.5/4mm

Silver : tested .800/.900 silver, no marks found,
intricately textured & figured with some rhodium plating

Condition : fine throughout, including original brooch fitments & safety clasp (as seen in 14k Mikimoto mid-century items)
