DIAMOND PENDANT CROSS NECKLACE; 19 diamonds in 14k yellow gold; vintage

A cross of unusually nice design and construction, diamonds bead-set above square a-jours, circa 1930's-60's, with "ESEMCO" maker mark used since 1906 by maker Shimon, Newark, N.J.

Diamonds : 19 total, graduated sizes, bead-set on the 4 arms :
approx 12 are full cut, 1.4-1.7mm, & approx 7 are single cut, smaller; clarity range SI-I, color J, avg .015ct, total .25-.30 carat

Overall height of cross, including bale : 1-1/2" x 3/4" across;
arms arched, surface textured and ribbed, crossed twisted wire around center

Chain length : 25", diamond-cut rope twist 1.7mm gauge, with big 7.2mm ring & 8.5mm lobster clasp

Weight of cross on chain together : .1585 troy ounce
(cross alone .089; chain alone .1095 oz)

Quality/Maker marks : "14K ESEMCO" struck to bale top; "585" struck on the new 9mm lobster clasp

Metal : 14k yellow gold

Condition : fine and all original; no evidence of repair or damage; all diamonds are bead-set
