THE ANTIQUE TRAY
Circa 1810, Regency period,
Size : 30" long x 22-1/4 wide x 1-1/2" deep, an oval-corner rectangle with overhanging rim

Hand painted on the rare scarlet ground with white chrysanthemum, other white flowers and butterfly, and green leafage sprays

Condition : Overall sound with typical scattered wear and minor losses typical of age, material and use

The verso bears an early shipping label of
"GANDER & WHITE, Expert Packers and Shipping Agents, Great Ormond Street, London, W.C.I. ENGLAND" inked (Ex :) Arram / (A/c :) Beresford / (No :) 309 ".

Custom made, 20th century, mahogany,
29-1/2" x 21-3/4 "x height 19"
Solid top with flared borders, above four flared-foot bamboo-turned legs which are joined by a cross stretcher; gilt accent traces to the bamboo turnings
