Spain, LA GRANJA de San Ildefonso "starbursts' cut Spirits Flask

The La Granja de San Ildefonso glassworks, a project of King Felipe V to promote Spanish manufacture of prestige luxury goods, was established on palace grounds.

Skilled Bohemian glass blowers and cutters were commissioned to train Spanish glassworkers, who became renowned for producing high quality wares, including large mirrors and tablewares, using entirely Spanish-sourced materials.
