Circa : 1925 - 30
Center : Bezel set Red Ruby, flame fusion (laboratory origin), microscopy characteristic of early 1900's; round faceted, 6.3 x 6.1 x 4.6 mm, estimated 1 carat
Verneuil exhibited rubies produced by this process at the 1900 Paris Exhibition. He published and patented the process in 1904 (ref : C.Romero. WARMAN'S JEWELRY, 2nd ed, 1988)
Primary Diamonds : Four bezel-set Old Mine Cut diamonds, average .45 ct (4.7 mm), VS2-SI1, L-M near colorless to very faint yellow, approximate total 1.80 carat
Accent diamonds : 12, vintage full cut , average .05 carat, proportions, clarity & color similar to primary diamonds, total .60 carat
Gross wt : .2135 troy ounce; Finger Size : 4-3/4
Domed top of ring measures 20 x 20 mm, approx ¾ x 3/4”; very fine quality engraved & openwork details in fine original condition throughout
