Size : 1” x 1-5/8” x ht 5/8”, ultra-tiny in keeping with the slimmer fashions of the Jane Austen era, contains inner gold gilt hinged grill pierced in forget-me-not blossom & leaf pattern. Remarkably, the gold gilt interior still contains the old – possibly original – sponge for scent. Sides and bottom decorated with punchwork borders, lid stippled in pattern of rays around oval centering a graceful script spray monogram “MB”
