LADY WITH SPANIEL (signed “H J”) pair of Cloak Pegs, (sometimes called “Cloak Pins”, “Screw Pegs” or “Mirror Rests”) Enamel on Copper, Brass & Iron ;
turned brass 1-1/2” long posts, terminating in 3/4” iron screws
Maker : Thomas Hands and William Jenkins, partners as “manufacturers of commode handles, cloak pins, picture frames, looking glasses, &c.”* for about a decade (1791-1805) in Birmingham, England.

Size : each diameter, enamel 1-1/2” (3.7 cm) sight,
in frame, 1-7/8” (4.7 cm) diameter
Length to wall 1-7/8”...and to end of original iron screw 2-5/8”
