CHEVET GEM CAMEO, Edwardian Platinum & Diamonds Pendant

(also called “Chevee”; “Curvette”, “Cuvette”; and in Britain, "Dished”) is a figure carved in relief within a concave or depression, typically into the table of a faceted gemstone, so that the highest part of the finished cameo is level with the original flat table surface

Circa : 1912 – 1919

Gem : Golden Citrine Quartz, 36 mm x 25 mm oval faceted, estimated 10 carats, oval faceted , the table “dished” & carved with profile portrait in the cuvet style

Diamonds: 5, “Old European” cut round brilliants, total ¾ carat, VS clarity, G-H color range

All original fine condition
