HANDMADE OLD NAVAJO HEAVY SILVER CUFF WITH SIX OVAL TURQUOISE

Entire surface applied with pattern of flattened wire-twist and silver wire on solid sheet silver

7/8" wide, good heavy 3 mm thickness; the round ends are applied with an independent pattern of similar wire-twist.
Turquoise : 6 oval cabochons in various vivd colors, set in hand-made collars, largest 2 avg 3/8" x 1/4", graduating to smallest 1/4" long ovals

Good heavy weight, 2.02 troy oz, interesting array of artist's file & tool marks inside

Wrist size : measures 2-3/8" across x 2 " vertical with 1-1/2" opening (fits wrist approximately 7")

Provenance : according to the heir, made by an itinerant Navajo craftsman whom her mother supported while living in the Southwest circa 1960's
