“C.Moore” is recorded in 1810 in Hagerstown in a brief partnership with Thomas Shuman.(233) His 1810 advertisement in the Hagerstown Herald and Weekly Advertiser, 24 October 1810, stated that he was a coppersmith from Baltimore. “ *

Height : 10-1/2” Diameter : 8-1/2” (12” to spout tip)
Condition : all appears to be fine, original & complete condition, including the lid and brass finial, dovetailed body, dovetailed base, tinned interior
Reference : Horvath, D. American Copper Kettles, 2010, Red Metal Press, illustrates a kettle by Moore (“Exhibit 19”) with a conspicuous pattern of dents over the entire body
